Interview with Anna McCormick – Raw Audio

Before beginning this assignment, I was very nervous. I didn’t have a clue who I was going to interview or what to interview someone about. Fortunately, one of my good friends is a secondary education major and I thought she would be a great person to interview. The experience of interviewing someone with an audio recorder was fun. I did not think that it would be fun or easy to do, but I really enjoyed the process; I felt like a professional. Before the interview, I was worried that I wouldn’t have enough content to take up the time, but the five minutes flew by. There were more questions that I ended up wanting to ask but did not have enough time. During the interview, I enjoyed asking the questions, hearing Anna’s responses, and learning new things from her. Like I said before, I felt professional while doing the interview, this is something that I would be interested in having a career in. One thing that I did not enjoy was trying to find a quiet place to do the interview. On campus, it can be difficult to find a quiet place, but the library ended up having some study rooms open. One thing that I wish I would have done differently would be preparing Anna for the interview. We had to redo the interview multiple times because I forgot to explain what was going on and what I expected of her and the interview. Next time I interview someone, I will be sure that I explain what I am doing and what my expectations are at the beginning. Listen to the interview here.
